Transforming Rehabilitation

Transforming Rehabilitation

For some providers, the relationship with commissioners is likely to be at an early stage of maturity. Because of the experience and range of skills we have in the Agencia team we can provide training and development support to help provider teams recognise the tasks before them and gel together as effective bidding teams.  Agencia is also a provider registered with the Ministry of Justice Rehabilitation Programme and is currently working with London and Derbyshire Probation Trusts, so is ideally placed to help providers identify and seize the opportunities on offer.

Agencia offers a flexible package of training and development support to providers. An outline of our approach can be downloaded at {page_34}downloads. However, we would be pleased to discuss how our programme can be tailored to address the distinctive needs of an individual organisation and the specific priorities it faces.

What providers are telling us

“Income generation is crucial to our organisations sustainability. Organisations are going to have to find other ways to survive. It is about encouraging people to look at their trading activities. What skills and products they have and which markets they could go into. It is about becoming more entrepreneurial.”

“We are facing a decrease in statutory funding and dwindling support from private sector organisations. Easier options [for funding] are less available…harder options must now be faced. This could mean taking a more commercial approach…”

“On top of tightening resources, we are also experiencing an increasing demand on services, making income generation support delivery more difficult.”

“Public sector organisations do not speak the same language as the voluntary sector. We are trying to figure out a way to communicate effectively so everyone knows what the other person is talking about.”
