RECRUITMENT ALERT: Senior Psychosocial Practitioner (Substance Misuse)

Agencia is hosting the “Active Change Community Recovery Service” for registered drug users in North Lincolnshire. Combining clinical and psychosocial interventions, this new service went live in April 2014.

The Agencia service meets the prescribing needs of registered users and a wide range of support will help them to build recovery into all aspects of their lives.  The role of Agencia includes providing constructive challenge to individual service users, and the partnership of organisations involved, in order to maximise recovery outcomes. Effective partnership with a broad range of support organisations is therefore key to our approach.

We have a vacancy for a Senior Psychosocial Practitioner (substance misuse) to join our service delivery team.

You will:

• Encourage ambition, motivate and support individuals to become free from their problematic drug use.
• Provide a range of services for people with primary problematic opiate use (other substances may be involved) and for General Practitioners involved in their treatment.
• Facilitate harm reduction with this client group.
• Provide supervisory support including mentoring and training.

The post will be based at our Scunthorpe office with travel to GP Practices.
