Primary Care Direct works with over 350 GP Practices to Develop Primary Care Networks

Primary Care Direct is our ‘one stop shop’ service offering everything in one place that you need to transform, grow and develop your primary care organisation. Through our hand selected consortium of primary care specialists, you’ll find all the guidance and advice that you require, conveniently in one place – saving you time, money and resource.

Working with over 350 GP Practices, we are currently seeing increasing demand for our services from Primary Care Networks (PCN’s). It is clear that by 2023/24 PCN's should aspire to be stable, effective and sustainable, but what is less clear, is what should PCN's be focusing on now.  Some of the issues that we are working with PCNs to tackle include:

  • Understanding your own journey;
  • Being able to function as a single team;
  • Being part of a network of PCN's;
  • Being part of MDT Teams;
  • Linking with local people and communities;
  • Using reimbursable funding;
  • Working on a service improvement project;
  • Considering future estate needs, and
  • Being ready to deliver the new national service specifications from April 2020.

Primary Care Direct can help you to develop your PCN by providing project management, capacity support, admin support and workshops, seminars and webinars. We know that each PCN is different, and therefore we provide tailored support through our unique 'one stop shop' service.

The wide range of services that Primary Care Direct can offer is down to our formidable team of experienced primary care members and associates. Owned by Agencia, our partners include BHP Accountants, Capsticks, DKJ Support Services, MDDUS, Lloyds Bank, Apollo Capital Projects, Hood and Woolf, Prescribing Support Services, and Yorkshire Medical Marketing.

Kiran Johnson, the lead for Agencia’s Primary Care Direct service said: “We are a consortium which provides business support to primary care organisations including GP’s, dentists and pharmacists, working with those networks to meet the needs of the population. Rather than having to constantly look at individual primary care specialists for help, we have ensured that they are all available from one convenient place.  That’s how we are transforming lives.  We have grown, we are getting more people who want to become associate members and we hope that continues. One of the things we have been discussing recently is international markets. We want to expand nationally and also look for opportunities internationally.”

Peter Groggins, NHS England, said: “It is great working with Primary Care Direct as you are super on it, organised and most of all credible.”
