One of society’s growing issues is the fact that we are all living longer. Agencia has been heavily involved in supporting social care and health organisations to identify the changes needed to take account of the rising numbers of older people and those suffering with dementia. Linked with the issue of longer life spans are the differing expectations of today’s generations, with greater emphasis on independence and self-directed care.
The Agencia team, consisting of Helen Gibson (Joint Managing Director), Graham Barnett (Business Support Manager), Victoria Austin (Business Development Manager) and Steve Jacobs (Principal Consultant), will be joined by Victoria’s son, Leon, in undertaking a 250 metre zip slide across Manchester’s famous ship canal on Saturday 13th October.
Speaking about the challenge, Victoria said:
“Health and social care is just one of Agencia’s areas of focus. We are well known for our work in health and social care, and we value the work of the Admiral Nurses in supporting people with dementia. We are acutely aware of the need to raise awareness and funds for people with dementia and the zip wire challenge is a great and fun way to do this. The team want to raise as much sponsorship as possible and we will be delighted with every pound or penny people can spare to support us.”
