Andrew Gibson stated “I’m delighted that Helen has accepted the role of Joint Managing Director. It’s obviously a double pleasure for me to not only be able to plan my own future commitments, but to welcome a member of the family as my ultimate successor. Helen has a great reputation as a skilled consultant, and I am very confident that over the next few years we will be able to work together to develop her skills even further, ready for an eventual transition to her being the sole MD. My own commitment to the company will not reduce, as I hope to take on a Non-Executive Chairman role in Agencia at that point. This is the next step in my succession planning which has strengthened our long term future to our clients and enables us to both sustain our high level service and develop even further. Our clients can be assured that Agencia will continue to provide the high quality, responsive services on which it has built its reputation over the last fourteen years”
Andrew expects Helen’s appointment to allow him to gradually reduce his time commitment to Agencia, as Helen takes a greater role in the company’s leadership. Helen was appointed by Agencia in 2009, and leaves her position as Director of Agencia to stand shoulder to shoulder with her father during this exciting time of growth in these economically challenging times.
Speaking about her appointment, Helen said:
“I’m delighted to be able to be jointly heading up the development of Agencia with my Dad and the new management team. Agencia is an excellent place to work, with very skilled and experienced colleagues who all work hard to ensure our clients in the public, private and third sectors are able to deliver change through improve services, efficiencies and effectiveness. I am looking forward to working alongside Andrew in managing the Company, as well as developing the business even further with our new management team structure. Our Strategic Plan for 2011 – 14 says, we aim to be here for the long term, broadening our client base and extending the range of services we offer. I am very excited to be playing a key part in that future.”
