The Agencia team are delighted to have recently been invited to attended Amsterdam’s Europad (European Opiate Addiction Treatment Association) This provided a fantastic opportunity to discuss Opiod treatment with service providers and speakers from across Europe.
Agencia’s Managing Director Helen Gibson, Service Development Manager Graeme Dixon and Pharmacist Adrian Garner. They hope to use the information learned to benefit their Active Recovery Service both in and outside of the new Opiate Analgesic Dependency (OAD) Pilot scheme which aims to aid those in potential of misusing over the counter and prescribed opiates such as Tramadol and Codeine.

North Lincolnshire Council appointed Agencia to provide an innovative and challenging service supporting individuals who have long-term issues with substance abuse. The service, called ‘Active Recovery’, works across the county in close liaison with a team of General Practitioners and other medical professionals to meet the needs of clients through the prescription of appropriate Opiate Substitution Therapy. This medical support is imbedded within a holistic and challenging package of care and psychosocial interventions to enable clients to achieve their personal ‘recovery’ goals and support them on the journey towards a drug free life.
