Active Recovery Summer Update

Active Recovery Summer Update

Since April, we have had the privilege of getting to know over 180 clients and of working as part of the North Lincolnshire Partnership to deliver support to individuals and make recovery a reality.  It has been an exciting time for the team, there has been a lot to do, and there is even more to learn and organise for the future.  We have also worked very closely with the Fresh Steps service user group, who have been invaluable in helping us design a range of forms and recovery schedules that meet the needs of the clients and enable us to meet the necessary administrative requirements of running a service.  It has been genuine teamwork and we are seeing the benefits already.

We would like to give special thanks to the Ancora Medical Practice, as they kindly hosted our first service development day at their Ashby Road surgery.  At this event the practices came together to discuss best practice, complex cases, and to shape the future development of the service.  We hope that this was the first of many such events.

Our attention is now turning towards finalising the arrangements for our Family Fun Day at the Forge Community Project, which is taking place on 1st September 2014.  We are looking forward to having a great time providing some organised chaos (and a little bit of mayhem) for the children of our service users.

I am looking out of our office window, trying to decide if the weather is going to change again and the rain start pouring down.  It reminds me that, in running a Recovery Service, it’s not all sunshine, but it is always about positive change and we are really proud to be delivering that in North Lincolnshire.
