Reflecting on the City’s achievement, Helen told the Business School:
"Obviously I am ecstatic that Hull has been named as Capital of Culture. Never before has there been so much going on in the city, or so much potential for growth as we see with the new Energy Estuary. There are lots of talented, ambitious businesses based here and there is a real friendly community spirit; this is Hull’s culture! I am looking forward to seeing how we can use our new found status, pride and confidence to our advantage. Come on Hull..!"
