Agencia wins place on NHS Yorkshire & Humber OD Framework to Support Clinical Commissioning Groups

As an East Yorkshire-based organisation, Agencia has a strong track record in working with its local health communities and others in the Yorkshire and the Humber region.  We have a sound understanding of the NHS in the patch, and have worked particularly with NHS Hull, NHS East Riding and the North East Lincolnshire Care Trust Plus.

Perhaps the hallmark of the Agencia approach is flexibility, seeking always to understand the local agenda, and not to deliver ‘off the shelf’ solutions.  This flexible approach will be an essential component of any support that we provide via the framework, since Clusters and their emergent Clinical Commissioning Groups are all at differing stages of development and engagement.

Adrian Smith, Agencia’s Health Sector Lead says “Agencia’s appointment to the NHS Yorkshire and the Humber OD Framework strengthens our position to be able to support the large and fast moving task of developing the Clinical Commissioning Groups, and help them prepare for authorisation, along with all the attendant impact on other stakeholders.”

In line with the Department of Health diagnostic toolkit, Agencia can help in developing CCGs and preparing them to secure authorisation.  Agencia can offer consultancy support and practical help as set out below.

Engagement with patients and communities

  • Design and independently chair / facilitate engagement events.

  • Identify and close gaps in the skills and styles of the senior team.

  • Design / implement remodelled commissioning functions.

Collaborative arrangements

  • Develop relationships with Health and Wellbeing Boards.
  • Broker macro-economic 'accords' in support of QIPP targets.
