We are pleased to announce the employment of Richard Liddle as our Active Recovery Support Worker. Richard has previously volunteered with The Forge, a church based homeless charity providing meals, signposting and support, and also with ourselves at Agencia as a volunteer peer mentor, helping to support clients in a GP community setting and aftercare, attending home visits and aiding in establishment of the Detox Club.
In 2015, Richard came runner up as North Lincolnshire’s Community Champion of the Year, acknowledging his outstanding contribution to the local community.
Richard now works for Active Recovery supporting service users, and can be found at the Detox Club Monday – Friday from 10.00 am – 12.00 pm.

North Lincolnshire Council appointed Agencia to provide an innovative and challenging service supporting individuals who have long-term issues with substance abuse. The service, called ‘Active Recovery’, works across the county in close liaison with a team of General Practitioners and other medical professionals to meet the needs of clients through the prescription of appropriate Opiate Substitution Therapy. This medical support is imbedded within a holistic and challenging package of care and psychosocial interventions to enable clients to achieve their personal ‘recovery’ goals and support them on the journey towards a drug free life.
