Helen joined Agencia in 2009 and has led the company as its Managing Director since 2012. Helen works across the full portfolio of the organisation’s activities in a range of strategic and operational consultancy roles. This includes offering particular expertise in research and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, strategy/policy development and organisational development.
Helen has over ten years experience in consultancy and civil service roles. Much of this has involved applying whole system approaches to change. Most recently this has included integrating health and social care; identifying strategic priorities; planning change; commissioning and contracting for quality and efficiency. Helen’s health and social care assignments include a public consultation programme for Derby City Council and projects sponsored by the North East Improvement and Efficiency Partnership and Department of Health, the Northern Ireland Department for Social Development and NHS London.
Helen also has particular experience in criminal justice. This includes delivering work both in the UK and internationally on behalf of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Ministry of Justice and the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
Prior to joining Agencia, Helen worked for PA Consulting Group, within their government practice. Helen is also a former Civil Servant, having worked at the UK’s Cabinet Office.
Helen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Durham and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Hull. Helen is also a Justice of the Peace on the Central London bench.
